Guide: How to Set Up an eSIM on Your iPhone

How to install an eSIM into my iPhone?

Note: Please follow these steps only upon your arrival in your destination country.

1. Go to settings on your iPhone and select Mobile/Cellular

To begin setting up your eSIM, open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap on Mobile or Cellular. This section allows you to manage your mobile network settings, including adding and configuring eSIMs.

 

2. Tap on add eSIM

3. Choose Use QR Code option

4. Scan your QR code of eSIM

Scan the QR code for your eSIM that you received in the email from our provider. If you haven’t purchased a plan yet, click here.

Or alternatively if you don’t have where to scan your QR code, you can enter the required details manually that you receive on the email after you purchase from Strong eSIM by clicking the Enter Details Manually option below.

5. Wait for activation to be completed

Please note that the activation process may take 2-3 minutes to complete, depending on your signal connection.

6. Once installed, tap Done

 

7. Label Your eSIM Plan

In the mobile plan labels section, select your eSIM option below and give it a name of your choice, such as “Strong eSIM Spain.” This helps you easily identify and manage your eSIM plans in the future.

 

8. Set Your Default Line

In the Default Line section, select your Primary option to ensure you continue receiving calls from your main phone number. This setting allows you to maintain seamless communication while using your eSIM.

 

9. Configure iMessage & FaceTime

In the iMessage & FaceTime section, select your Primary option to ensure you can continue using FaceTime with your main phone number. This setting allows for uninterrupted communication with your contacts.

 

10. Configure Mobile Data Settings

In the Mobile Data section, select your eSIM, which in this case is “Strong eSIM Spain.” Additionally, ensure that the “Allow Mobile Data Switching” option is set to “Not Active” to avoid any unexpected roaming charges.

11. Enable Your eSIM for Internet Access

After completing the setup, go to the “SIMs” section and select your eSIM. Make sure to enable the Data Roaming option to ensure your internet connection functions properly.
