Which phones support eSIM?

The compatibility list, plus the two checks people forget.

The short version: almost every flagship since 2018 and a growing crowd of mid rangers. The long version, by brand:

1

Apple

Every iPhone from the XS, XS Max, and XR onward: all 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 17 models, both SE revivals from 2020 and 2022, and the iPhone Air. Recent iPads with cellular support eSIM too.
2

Samsung

Galaxy S20 and every S series since, Note 20, the entire Z Fold and Z Flip family, and recent A models like the A54 5G and A55 5G in most regions.
3

Google

Every Pixel from the Pixel 3 and 3a onward, folds included.
4

Everyone else

Recent flagships from Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, Motorola, Honor, Sony, Nothing, and Fairphone all carry eSIM hardware. When in doubt, the device checker on any plan page answers in seconds.

Two checks people forget: the phone must be carrier unlocked, and a few region specific variants, notably models sold in mainland China, ship with eSIM disabled even when the global version supports it.

Quick self check

If you see Add eSIMYou have eSIM
Quick self check on iPhone. Android wording differs slightly, the idea does not.
