How to check if your phone supports eSIM
On iPhone
Open Settings › General › About and scroll to look for an EID number. You can also dial *#06#: if an EID is listed, your iPhone is eSIM ready. All iPhones from the XS and XR (2018) onward qualify.
On Android
Open Settings and search “eSIM”, or go to Connections › SIM manager and look for Add eSIM. If that option or an EID appears, your phone supports eSIM.
Which phones support eSIM?
As a quick rule of thumb, a StrongeSIM eSIM works on any unlocked device with eSIM support, including:
- Apple: iPhone XS / XR (2018) and every model since, plus SE 2020/2022
- Samsung: Galaxy S20 and newer, Note 20, all Z Fold / Z Flip
- Google: every Pixel from the Pixel 3 / 3a onward
- Recent flagships from Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo, Motorola, Honor and Sony
Two things can stop eSIM from working: a carrier lock (your phone must be unlocked to use another network) and certain region variants — notably models sold in mainland China, which often ship with eSIM disabled.
