How to install your eSIM with the QR code

Your eSIM arrives by email seconds after purchase, and also lives in the StrongeSIM app. Installation is a two minute job best done on home WiFi before the trip.

Open the QR code on a second screen
Display the QR on your laptop or another phone so you can scan it with the phone that will use the eSIM. One device cannot scan itself; many have tried.

Scan it from Settings
iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Use QR Code. Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add eSIM. Point the camera at the code.

Confirm and label the line
Approve the install and give the line a name like Travel or StrongeSIM so the settings stay readable later.

Leave it off until you land
Keep the line disabled at home. On arrival, flip it on, enable Data Roaming, select it for Mobile Data, and you are live.
Plan validity starts at first connection in your destination, not at installation. Installing early costs you nothing.
